I was one of the biggest reality stars of the Noughties – then I did heroin, ended up in prison and was homeless

JERSEY Shore's Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has opened up about how his life spiralled out of control after finding fame on the hit reality show.
Mike, 41, was one of the biggest names on the hit MTV show but his life began to head south when he started taking drugs.
The former TV star has shared his experiences in his new book Reality Check, which he describes as a "raw and unfiltered story of The Situation, as only I could tell it".
He detailed his battle with his heroin addiction and how this lead to him becoming homeless.
Things haven't been smooth sailing for Mike, who also ended up in prison in January 2019 after being convicted of tax evasion.
He shared the title page with a tagline that reads: "How I overcame addiction, loss and prison."

Mike captioned the post: "I’m so proud and excited to announce my book is coming out this fall!
"I’ve been writing my autobiography for over a year now, and it’s finally done and ready to share with the world.
"Reality Check is my story of Hope, Loss, Love and Redemption. About hitting rock bottom but never giving up. It’s the first time I’ve been able to truly share my full story, and I didn’t leave anything out.
"It was important of me to be completely honest about how deep my drug addiction ran and to tell all the crazy stories from those years, as well as how hard I worked to find a lasting sobriety.

Known as "The Situation", he has appeared in multiple other shows, including his own series, The Sorrentinos.
He is now to his wife , and they have , including a son named Romeo Reign and a daughter named Mia Bella Elizabeth.
The pair were in a relationship for four years before Mike joined Jersey Shore in 2009, before going their separate ways.
But they rekindled their romance in 2012, the year the series came to an end.
