I was a Big Brother legend but now I’m an Amazon delivery driver after struggling to make ends meet
BIG Brother legend Lisa Appleton is working as an Amazon delivery driver – 15 years after finding fame on the show.
Lisa, now 55, enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame on the hugely popular telly show and earned hundreds of thousands after as she landed brand deals, club appearances and more with her then co-star husband Mario Marconi.
But the dream came crashing down after a conman ruined their life – leaving her homeless and her marriage in tatters.
Over the years Lisa has remained in the public eye, but since the pandemic she’s struggled with the cost of living crisis – and has turned to a more stable income.
She tells The Sun: “Obviously with the lockdown, a lot of my projects at the time got cancelled.
“So in the meantime, because of the cost of living and stuff like that, food has gone up, everything has gone up.

“I can’t believe the prices sometimes, they have added a pound on to things. Electricity’s gone up so I thought as a boost to my income I would get a job at Amazon.”
Lisa spent four days training with the company and was soon sent out on her own.
But she quickly realised just how pressured the job is as she was expected to deliver 167 parcels a day – and she’s no longer sure if the gig is for her.
She explains: “Everything was fine to start with, you get about 15 mins to load up but it was raining all day, and my phone kept getting wet.

“You are rushing because you are under pressure to get to the next one. You have to deliver about 28/30 parcels in an hour. I managed 28 in three hours.
“What really put me off is the narrow streets, with dead ends, nowhere to turn, you have to reverse back, you have to stop outside someone's house, someone comes behind you they have to be patient because there is nowhere to turn round.”
Alongside her deliveries Lisa is working on a TV show about true crime called Hollywood Files, which is now available on Miami Fox Streaming.
And Lisa, who became well-known for her fun photoshoots, would love to return to Big Brother when the rebooted version returns this autumn.
The Sun previously told how ITV bosses are keen to bring back some of the best known faces from the original Channel 4 series.
“Big Brother massively changed my life,” Lisa says. “I was 40 and nothing prepares you for how much changes. I would love to do it again.”
