DANNY'S DREAM ROLES

Danny Dyer leaves woman drooling in string of sexy costumes for racy new BBC comedy Henpocalyse

DANNY Dyer is heading off on the hen do from hell for a new BBC comedy.

But lucky for the former EastEnders star, he’s had plenty of experience where that came from.

He’s taken inspiration from his own stag do to bring life to the role, which sees him transform into a Hobbit, a Viking and a Pride and Prejudice gentleman in Henpocalypse!

Danny admitted: “My stag weekend was meant to be sophisticated.

“We went to Port Lympne Safari Park and stayed in a treehouse, which was an animal kingdom and we were going to go on a safari.

“I didn’t see many animals, in fact, it got very messy. I did see some monkeys, though.”

Danny is set to portray a heightened version of himself in the new series, which sees him appear in a dream sequence alongside Kate O'Flynn.

The duo journey through the Welsh countryside after the apocalypse hits, killing off all but one man and putting a stop to a very important hen do.

Kate’s character Jen is left hallucinating after developing gangrene from a blister - imaging that her all-time favourite actor, Danny Dyer, is there beside her.

Danny explains: “It's a nutty idea, basically a group of women go on a hen do and while they're on their hen do in Wales, a disease breaks out that kills all men.

“Jen is stuck lying in bed as she has got gangrene on her leg and that's why all her friends leave her.

"She keeps talking about Danny Dyer and dreaming about Danny Dyer and so that’s when I make an appearance.

“I got an email from writer Caroline Moran asking me if I wanted to be in the series, she basically wrote this part because she loves me as an actor.

“She felt that I was sort of one of the character’s fantasies, so I play myself in a dream sequence.

“I love the version of me that she's got in her head because I'm very articulate and quite whimsical.

“I'm basically there to make Kate O’Flynn's character masculine.”

Henpocalypse! airs on BBC Two at 10pm on August 15.
