Call The Midwife’s Judy Parfitt is unrecognisable with long dark hair in glamorous throwback pic

A PHOTO of BBC’s Call the Midwife star Judy Parfitt has resurfaced from earlier in her career - and she looks completely unrecognisable.
The 87-year-old, best known for her appearances as Sister Monica Joan on the hit BBC series, has been a familiar face among viewers since 2012.
However, long before joining Call The Midwife the actress rose to prominence with parts in David Copperfield (1966), Hamlet (1969), Ever After (1998), and Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003).
In 1971, Judy was 35-years-old and about to embark on her journey of fame and fortune after landing some impressive roles.
A stunningly gorgeous snapshot of her from that time has been discovered.
In the portrait image, Judy has a completely different haircut.

She had long thick black hair with extra volume, and donned a colourful blouse.
She had flawless makeup on because you could see the eyeliner and mascara that accentuated her piercing eyes.
Judy also starred in classics such as Murder She Wrote and had a short stint on ITV's Midsomer Murders in 2008.
While Call The Midwife continues to be a hugely popular series, Judy has previously opened up on her belief that the newest series will be the last.
