Prue, 83, is set to cook up a storm on Saturday mornings on ITV1 and ITVX which will begin in February next year.

Set in her own idyllic Cotswolds home kitchen, the national treasure will celebrate and cook some of her all-time favourite dishes alongside her right-hand man and husband, John.

The ten-parter will cover easy-to-make mid-week meals through to dinner party showstoppers.

In each episode, Prue will invite a special guest as her dinner companion.

She said: "All in all Prue’s Cotswold Kitchen is about the things that matter to me in my dotage: family, friends, home, farm and food. And I’m such an egotist, I’m looking forward to sharing them all with the world."

The star will also celebrate a cast of incredible Food Heroes throughout the series.

These will include impressive entrepreneurs in her local area and around the UK who make delicious products that she’ll use as a showcase in an array of delectable dishes.

Prue has been a longtime judge on The Great British Bake Off since 2017 when the show moved from the BBC.

She replaced fan favourite Mary Berry who decided not to move with the show when the format was taken over by Channel 4.

This comes after she admitted that she was left baffled by her male co-stars’ saucy gags on the long-running food programme.

She's delighted new host Alison Hammond has joined the team to host the baking competition as it helped to limit the lad banter.

The judge previously told The Sun On Sunday: “I’m just glad to have another woman there because I’ll tell you what, those three men together, half the time I didn’t get the jokes because I never get innuendos.

"A word like sausage would set them off."
