CELEBRITY Gogglebox pair Denise Van Outen and Duncan James have surprised fans by releasing a music single together for an incredibly important cause.
The duet was unveiled this morning in a bid to raise funds for charity.
The Blue boybander, 45, and his TV all-rounder pal, 49, regularly delight their fans on the celeb spin-off of the popular Channel 4 series but are now hoping their singing voices will do the talking.
The duet is a cover of the classic Rod Stewart track, That's What Friends Are For.
In aid of Macmillan Coffee Morning, the pair dropped the surprise single release this morning with Duncan opening up on his late pal, Girls Aloud superstar Sarah Harding, as being one of the main motivating factors in doing so.
Sarah tragically died aged 39 of breast cancer on September 5 2021.
Now, two years on from her heartbreaking passing, Duncan has kept the popstar in his thoughts for his new project.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Duncan said: "I was really good friends with Sarah, and I think we were all just devastated to hear she had that diagnosis, and [she] died quite quickly."
The former Hollyoaks star went onto add: "We all know somebody that has been affected by the big C, and for me it’s been some really close friends in the industry.
"What me and Den are doing, we’re hoping to give as much as we can back to the nurses and support the charity and hopefully people download the song and support us."
Macmillan holds its super successful coffee morning each September in a bid to raise vital funds for cancer research.
Speaking about their duet on Instagram, Denise wrote: "We are really excited to announce we have released a single ‘That’s what friends are for’ in support of Macmillan Coffee Morning to celebrate the importance of friendship during times of adversity.
"You can also help support Macmillan this month by popping into your local @marksandspencer and @marksandspencercafe and picking up their Coffee Morning range."
Despite her untimely passing, one of Sarah's final wishes has been made after funds and appeals in her honour managed to raise the much-needed sums to launch the new research study, Breast Cancer Risk Assessment in Young Women (BCAN-RAY).
It was funded by the , backed by Cancer Research UK and has already had its first participant in a medical trial.
