COMEDIAN Lee Mack has taken a swipe at TV viewers "offended" by his jokes.
The popular funnyman was speaking after winning an NTA this week, where his risky on-stage joke about Jill Scott sparked calls from some viewers for him to be "cancelled".
Lee, 55, was presented the Best Quiz Show gong by the Lioness and I'm A Celebrity winner and joked: "To receive a sex toy like this off Jill Scott is an absolute pleasure."
Speaking to The Sun about his jokes with contestants on The 1% Club, Lee said: "My job as a stand-up comedian is to take the mickey out of the contestants.
"I decided never to be too cheesy with it. I just wanted to try to have a bit of a laugh.
"It's just like a gig, especially to 100 people. That was most of my Edinburgh Fringe shows back in the early days to 100 people.

"It's quite an intimate laugh and the one thing is the audience really can take it, you can take the mickey out of them.
"It's the people who are watching [at home] who get offended, not the audience. They're always OK about it."
And his observation was proven to be true quicker than he could have anticipated.
While the NTAs audience erupted into laughter at his sex toy gag, viewers watching from home went online to complain.
