This Morning’s Dermot O’Leary slams Alison Hammond rift rumours saying ‘If presenters aren’t getting on you can tell’

THIS Morning’s Dermot O’Leary has slammed rift rumours with Alison Hammond, claiming viewers would be able to "tell".
Back in July, the claimed the ITV morning show faced crisis talks over the presenters.
But now Dermot, 50, has poured cold water over the rumours.
He told , "This is only my third year of being on This Morning proper, but there’s 35 years of history to live up to. Why has it lasted so long? We reflect the country — our stories might be frivolous, serious or uplifting.
"The presenters make a difference too. If two people aren’t getting on, the viewers can see that.
"Alison Hammond, my co-host, and I didn’t really know each other when we started working together but now we’re like family. I think there’s an honesty to that."

Bosses were recently said to fear Alison and Dermot being forced to spend less time on-screen together.
It was also reported that Alison and Holly Willoughby are no longer as close, having previously been as "thick as thieves".
An ITV spokesman told The Sun: "Alison, Dermot and Holly are all valued members of the This Morning family and all enjoy working together on the show, as well as having friendships outside of the show."
Alison was originally tipped to become Holly's right-hand woman following Phillip Schofield's axe.

But insiders say Holly's growing chemistry with stand-in presenter Craig Doyle, 52, is proving popular with viewers, who are calling for him to present full-time.
Alison was left "heartbroken" after ex-This Morning host Eamonn Holmes claimed she's being "used" by Holly.
Eamonn made the allegations against Holly during an explosive interview about the "toxicity" at the ITV daytime show.
He told : "This nonsense about Holly Willoughby and Alison Hammond as her best friend and [Holly] was at Alison's birthday party.
"Alison Hammond goes to Holly Willoughby's select nights out with her friends.
"This wouldn't have happened two years ago. Are you kidding? Alison Hammond has been on the programme 13 years and I'm sure there was very little contact between her and the presenters.
"People just use other people and it's disgusting."
