Good Morning Britain fans confused as show star ‘goes missing’ in presenter shake-up

THERE was a new look presenting duo on today's show after a regular favourite was absent.

GOOD Morning Britain viewers were left scratching their heads today as Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway hosted the show.

While both are seasoned pros on the programme, they're relatively unfamiliar as a double act.

For a second consecutive week, regular anchor Susanna Reid, 52, was absent, prompting questions from some viewers.

One asked: "Where is Susanna Reid this morning?"

Another posted: "Susanna Reid on holiday still?"

A third said: "I see Kate is still heading up GMB and doing a fantastic job in the continued absence of Susanna Reed."

A fourth questioned: "Is Susanna still on half term? Bet Lorraine will be too, even though her child is an adult now."

Susanna will be off for the remainder of the week, having informed viewers of her planned absence earlier in the month.

In an exchange with Lorraine Kelly, she said: "I am back in two weeks time."

Lorraine replied: "We will miss you! Have a great time Susanna."

Today's GMB was dominated by the tragic death of Friends star Matthew Perry, who was found dead in a hot tub at his LA home over the weekend.

The much-loved actor, 54, had a decades long battle with drink and drug addiction but had appeared to get a grip on his demons in recent years.

An initial post-mortem report into the cause of Matthew's death has returned 'inconclusive'.

Famous names on both sides of the Atlantic have paid tribute to the star with a joint statement from his Friends co-stars expected later today.
