The singer joked that he is in tip top condition from the jungle showers after touring with JLS.

He told The Sun as he arrived: "I've definitely lost a lot of weight on tour.

"Yeah and this place I'm going, I'm gonna be losing a little bit more weight. So we'll see how it all plays out."

Asked how he felt leaving behind wife Rochelle and daughters Alaia-Mai, ten, Valentina, six, and son Blake, three, he said: " Yeah it was tough saying bye to the kids and Rochelle yesterday morning.

"But you know what? They're gonna be watching Daddy. So yeah I just need to do them proud."

He added that he didn't know if Rochelle would let them stay up to watch the show every night.

Marvin revealed it is his first time in Australia and the first time he was approached to do the show.

"I'm very excited and pleased to be here," he told us. "It's the first time I've been out to Australia so I'm interested to try some local delicacies."

It comes after The Sun told how TV bosses think the Primetime TV host will be be the perfect fit for the jungle.

Marvin, 38, and wife Rochelle Humes, 34, are best known for stints on This Morning but have also presented smash BBC gameshow The Hit List since 2019.

And execs think that the star has broad appeal as a jungle source said: “Marvin is a brilliant signing.

"Not only is he known to fans of The X Factor and fans of JLS, but the audience for The Hit List and This Morning spans from kids right through older viewers.

"And with Rochelle’s backing, he’s got a ready made fan base.

"He’ll have lots of showbiz stories to tell, too, from his 15 years in the limelight.”

The source added: "The fact he’s remained a bit of a pin-up doesn’t hurt, either, and bosses hope he’ll make use of the jungle shower!"

Marvin will join the full I'm A Celebrity 2023 line-up in camp this weekend, with politicians, influencers and daytime stars being thrown into the nation's most famous camp.

Ant and Dec will welcome the latest stars brave enough to tackle stomach-churning bushtucker trials and terrifying challenges on Sunday November 19.
