Former Big Brother winner blasts show final as a ‘joke’ as fan favourite misses out on top spot and £100k prize

The show star was also dealt the ultimate snub at the re-boot launch

A FORMER Big Brother winner has blasted the show as a "joke" after the fan-favourite contestant of 2023 didn't even make the top three.

Cameron Cole, 24, who was only 19 when he won the 2018 series, took to social media to completely slam ITV's re-boot which saw

Cameron lashed out at the 'joke' result as Yinrun came fourth

The hugely-controversial outcome saw Big Brother sweetheart Yinrun left in fourth place.

Taking to X to express his disgust, the 2018 star ranted: "YINRUN not being in the top 3 is a bigger joke than me winning."

Fans were quick to react to his partially self-deprecating statement, with one writing: "You always deserved to win mate. I have to agree though. She should have won."

A second put: "Cameron excuse me but you were a good winner. Journey bro!" as a third bluntly added: "You winning made sense. This does not."

One then raged: "She was robbed! Something isn’t right."

Last night, Jordan was announced as the Big Brother champion, beating runner-up Olivia in a dramatic climax to the rebooted ITV2 series and collecting the £100k prize.

Going into the final, there were five housemates left standing: NokyOliviaJordanHenry and Yinrun.

Fourth place was quite the shock as Yinrun was evicted, despite being the favourite to win from the outset.

Many fans called the show a "fix" as the 25 year-old customer support agent was given her marching orders.

Yinrun didn't seem upset however.

"I had the best time of my life in the Big Brother house," Yinrun said as she chatted to AJ and Will.

Meanwhile, Cameron now looks completely different from his stint on the reality show five years ago.

He took home £100k back in 2018 and describes himself as an "accidental winner".

Cameron had significant moments during his time on the show, one of which was coming out as gay to his fellow housemates on TV.

In response, they provided comfort and offered their support. Fans of the show also grew fonder of him.

Previously, Big Brother fans were left mortified after the show winner was "ignored" by new hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu.

Cameron was in the live crowd for the launch of the re-boot - but neither went over to speak to him.

One viewer fumed on X: "Cameron Cole, previous winner of Big Brother sat in #bbll audience being totally ignored."

The former housemate has largely kept out of the limelight since his victory, and he even had close to a year off Instagram until recently.
