Home Alone fans can’t believe Kevin McCallister’s mum’s real age in first film
Fans were blown away by how 'grown up' she was in the film
SINCE Home Alone's release in 1990, it has been one of the nation's favorite Christmas films.
It follows little Kevin McCallister over the holidays after his family forgot to take him on holiday to Paris.

However, this year fans were shocked when they found out Kevin's mum's age.
played the mum of five when she was just 36 years old.
One fan took to TikTok to express her disbelief over Kate McCallister's age - pointing out that she seemed well into adulthood, not in her mid-30s.
They also pointed out that she was the same age as Lindsay Lohan who has just had her first child.

'You probably thought she was older, because 36 sounded older back then,' said one TikToker.
Another said: "This video blew my mind", while another said that the reason people seemed older in the 90s was the hair and make up.
"It's gotta be the hair and makeup. It’s evolved so much," one wrote.
More recently, Catherine has starred alongside Eugene Levy in the award-winning sitcom Schitt's Creek.

Sweet and quick-witted Kevin was played by Macaulay Culkin, 43.
He was just 10 years old when he starred in Home Alone.
In 1994, just four years after the first film, he famously 'divorced' his parents.
He took them to court to remove his parents from his trust fund.
He told Esuire: "I legally took my parents’ names off of my trust fund and found an executor, someone who would look over my finances, just in case anyone wanted to stick their f****** pinkie in the pie. But the next thing you know, the story was that I divorced my parents.”
He and Catherine, who is now 69, reunited on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier this month.
In his acceptance speech, Macaulay thanked his fiancée Brenda Song, 35, and said: “You’re not only the best woman I’ve ever known, you’re the best person I’ve ever known.”
Last December the couple welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Carson.
The low-key couple kept the happy news under wraps, with word of the new arrival not coming out until this March .
The couple are already parents to a son named Dakota, who was born in April 2021.
Macaulay and Brenda first met on the set of their film Changeland in Thailand.
The pair have been together for five years and got engaged in 2022.

When Brenda gave birth to her first child three years ago, they also tried to keep the news under wraps.
When they eventually confirmed it, they released a short statement saying they were "overjoyed" to be parents.
