SOFIA Vergara spectacularly shut down a reporter who took an outrageous swipe at her accent.
The award-winning actress is best known for her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in Modern Family and America's Got Talent.

Sofia, who is originally from Colombia, appeared on a TV show in Spain promoting her work.
But during a sit-down interview the host took a jibe at her over how she pronounced Modern Family.
As she spoke the anchor interrupted her, asking: "How do you say Modern Family?"
The 51-year-old was left taken aback by the sudden interjection and swiped: "Did I say it wrong?

"Ah because you know better English than me?"
Sofia's epic comeback left the audience in applause and awe, but she wasn't finished.
Presenter Juan struggled to get a word in as she asked him: "How many Emmys have you been nominated for in the United States?"
He clapped back telling the actress: "Well, only one in the United States."

She continued to scold him, asking him to repeat his words again, before probing: "How many times were you nominated for the Golden Globes?"
Flustered and red-faced, Juan brushed it off: "The Golden Globes are minor awards, they don't matter to me a bit."
In December Gloria was forced to file a temporary restraining order over an alleged stalker.
Court documents reveal the mum-of-one has accused the suspect as “aggressive and harassing conduct” which has resulted in fear, anxiety and stress.
The judge granted the order and instructed the man to keep at least 100ft away from her.
