Paul Foreman makes tough decision about ending his life in Coronation Street

Can his family convince him to keep holding on?

THE struggle continues for Paul Foreman as his motor neurone disease (MND) completely takes over his whole body.

Paul Foreman (portrayed by Peter Ash) was diagnosed with MND in 2023 and, in later scenes, the builder was told he only had a handful of months to live.

Since then, Paul has been struggling with his symptoms and, in a shocking twist, he has made the decision to end his own life.

But will he go through with it?

Next week on ITV, Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) calls at the flower shop flat and orders Moses, Paul's caretaker, to enjoy some time off while she looks after her son.

More Corrie

In later scenes, Bernie sets about cleaning the flat for Paul but when she opens the cupboard concealing his stash of Benzo tablets, Paul pales.

Bernie is then thrilled as Paul and her daughter Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) reluctantly agree to a night in the dilapidated motorhome.

The twins suspect Bernie is lost as she stops in a layby and pulls out a road atlas and they share worried looks between them as they discover there’s no phone signal.

Meanwhile, Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) tries in vain to call Paul, worried where he might have got to.

Bernie stops the motorhome in the middle of a field and admits she has no idea of the way to the campsite.

Things go from bad to worse as she starts the engine, only to discover they’re stuck in the mud.

Alone in the flat and unable to get hold of Paul, Billy looks in the kitchen cupboard and is horrified to discover the Benzo tablets missing.

Paul’s phone finally leaps into life and Gemma answers to hear Billy begging his husband not to take the drugs as it’s too soon.

Will Paul come clean to Bernie and Gemma about his end of life plan?

This remains to be seen but, in other scenes, Bernie calls at the flower shop flat to find Billy prostrate on the sofa after putting his back out helping Paul out of the bath due to Moses running late.
