British YouTube star lands HUGE Oscar red carpet gig that’s worlds away from her UK job
A BRITISH YouTube star has landed a huge gig at the Oscars, and fans have flocked to tell her how much she deserves it.
Amelia Dimoldenberg is best known for her channel called Chicken Shop Date, where she interviews celebrities at a local takeaway.
She puts on a dry and comic persona while speaking with famous contacts on camera, and stages these encounters as if they are romantic dates.
Viewers recently went wild over her video with Irish actor Paul Mescal, which racked up over a million views in just four days.
Now the 30-year-old is delighted to announce that she has been invited to be the red carpet correspondent for the 96th Academy Awards.
In a post made on Instagram, she wrote: "Unbelievably excited to announce that I’m the Oscars Social Media Ambassador and Red Carpet Correspondent for the 96th Academy Awards !
