BBC Breakfast fans call out brutal snub as Jon Kay posts ‘full team’ pic – but two big stars are missing

BBC BREAKFAST fans called out a 'full team' picture Jon Kay posted as two big stars were missing.
The 54-year-old took to Instagram earlier this week to post a photo with his colleagues on the iconic red sofa.
Jon, Sally Nugent, Nina Warhurst, John Watson and Carol Kirkwood could all be seen beaming for the group snap.
Posting the sweet moment, Jon told fans: "Full house! It’s not often that we’re all in the studio together, on the same day.
"Normally at least one of the gang is off doing an outside broadcast somewhere or filming a story - so it was great to have all five of us on the #bbcbreakfast red sofa this morning.
"I genuinely love working with these clever, kind, crazy people - and the equally brilliant team behind the scenes. We thank you ALL for being part of the bigger BBC Breakfast family, as well."
However, BBC Breakfast fans were quick to point out Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt were nowhere to be seen.
One viewer commented: "Eerrrmmmm forgetting Naga? Is she not part of the A-team?"
A second wrote: "What about Charlie and Naga?"
"Great to see you all - great partnerships - would also like to see a morning when we get Charlie & Jon and Naga & Sally - just a thought," said a third.
While a fourth posted: "Someone needs to photoshop in @tvnaga."
Naga, 48, hosts the flagship show on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays with Charlie, 61.
The flagship BBC show has had dozens of presenters during its impressive 40 years on air but the current stars are:
Jon Kay - Since 2022
Sally Nugent - Since 2021
Charlie Stayt - Since 2006
Naga Munchetty - Since 2014
Carol Kirkwood - Since 1997
Former presenter Dan Walker, who left BBC Breakfast in 2022 to join Channel 5 News, recently revealed how early starts for the show left him "crying in the toilets".
During an appearance on This Morning, he explained how sleep deprivation for the show played with his emotions.
"By Wednesday I was, like, full zombie mode. And also you get really emotional," he said.
Dan, who hosted the iconic red sofa alongside Louise Minchin and then Sally Nugent, used to set his alarms for 3am to be on air three hours later.
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One and iPlayer.
