‘How callous!’ gasp Dragons’ Den fans as they slate Steve Bartlett for ‘snide, smug and belittling’ feedback

DRAGONS' Den viewers raged 'How callous!' as they slammed Steven Bartlett for 'snide, smug and belittling' feedback on the show.
The latest episode of the BBC business programme saw the 31-year-old businessman critique one of the pitches.
Budding entrepreneur Daniel presented his drinks business, We Are Spirits, to the judges and explained that it would "shake up the drinks industry".
The dragons were initially impressed with the alcohol brand but quickly uncovered its flaws.
Deborah Meaden was let down to discover the company wasn't as eco-friendly as Daniel claimed.
While, Steven Bartlett asked: "Where does this sell? Does it sell just from the bike or does it sell somewhere else?"
The entrepreneur replied: "We have a website."
Steven then persisted with his questions, and probed: "And what percentage of your sales come from the website?"
Daniel admitted: "We've sold a few bottles over the last few weeks."
Steven exclaimed: "I'm not surprised!"
Dragons' Den has been on our screens since 2005 and sees entrepreneurs enter the Den to try and win investment for their businesses from the Dragons.
Over the years there have been many wealthy investors sitting in the famous seats, here's a rundown of them all and how long they were on the show for.
He continued: "Because you have no brand... I mean, these labels look like they've been produced by a printer from 1988."
"That was the feel that we were going for, back to the basics," Daniel replied, adding: "No electricity or printers are involved."
Sara Davies disagreed with Steven and chimed in, saying: "I actually disagree," as he held up a bottle.
Steven snapped back at Sara: "You like that? Sara, please tell me on national television you like that brand."
"Steven Bartlett, I like that brand!" Davies hit back firmly.
Sara added: "Because you [the alcohol brand] are all about sustainability."
Sadly Daniel didn't get an offer from any of the judges, but fans at home were left furious over Steven's comments, and took to social media to slate him.
Taking to X/Twitter, one wrote: "I quite like his simple stamp labelling. Steven Bartlett is too harsh with branding sometimes."
A second fumed: "Oh steven how callous."
A third added: "Ah, Steven. It was quite obvious the printing was meant to look retro. C’mon, beloved."
A fourth raged: "Steven is really hard to like - smug, snide, always belittling Touker."
A fifth added: "Steven should stick to doing his huel advert instead of criticising someone for branding of a drink."
