LEVI Roots has recently been revealed as part of the line up for Celebrity Big Brother - but what many fans don't know is that he actually made an appearance on the reality show nine years ago.

The Dragons' Den star will be returning to the famed Big Brother house for the second time in a matter of days.

This time he will be one of the residents, as opposed to his stint in 2013, when he dropped in to stage a party for them.

The reggae musician's get together was part of a twist cooked up by show bosses.

He created a fun-filled day for the housemates, complete with a barbecue and musical performances.

But only competition winners got to attend, while the other BB stars looked on longingly from inside the house.

That same week contestants discovered that they would not get the opportunity to vote for who they wanted to evict, with their family and friends being called on to make the choice instead.

A source has spoken up about the announcement that will be joining the celebrity ITV reboot this month.

They told the : "Levi will be great for the Celebrity Big Brother house. He's got a few exciting projects coming up and he's such a fun character."

They added: "He's self-made and is an inspiration to a new generation."

Levi was spotted by a BBC producer for Dragons' Den in 2007.

He was on Dragons' Den looking for a £50,000 investment for a 40 percent stake in his business selling Levi Roots' Reggae Reggae Sauce.

The 65-year-old has since become a regular on cooking TV shows, including BBC's Ready Steady Cook.
