GREG Rutherford’s fiancee has revealed exactly why he hasn’t explained the details of his Dancing On Ice injury.
The retired Olympian sensationally pulled out of the final of the hit ITV show after suffering a 'freak accident' hours before he was due to take to the ice.
The 37-year-old was rushed to hospital and has since been posting a number of updates for fans.
After the final - which saw former Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas crowned as the winner - he reflected on what could have been.
Greg previously uploaded footage of the rehearsal of his last showcase performance onto his Instagram grid page alongside a long essay caption paying tribute to co-stars Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean as well as the crew working behind the scenes.
Underneath, fans flooded the comments section to praise the star but others couldn't help but ask what exactly happened.

In an attempt to put the rumours to bed, Greg's fiance Susie Verrill replied: "It really isn’t anything gory or horrifying; just very painful and a bit of a freak accident.
"He hasn’t gone in to it because specialists have been working out how to pinpoint it/work out next steps so I think the show were keen not to say anything until they have official report back."
She added: "Hope that clears it up!"
When one fan joked that the incident may have involved his private parts, the vlogger revealed the pair understood all the speculation.

Susie admitted: "No in fairness, it all sounded so suspicious we’re not surprised people wanted to know!"
In his gushing Dancing On Ice post, the athlete wrote: "Here we gooooo.
"This is the showcase we didn’t get the perform due to injury. The point where I dive through Colin and Brendyn’s legs is where everything went wrong last Sunday.
"This is from either Friday or Saturday so I was still ironing out a few timings issues (which I’m sure you will notice 🤣).
"I utterly loved this showcase. Everyone involved had worked so hard. Just look at the set too!! The guys behind the scenes never get enough credit, what they build in such a short amount of time is mind blowing.
"To have @torvillanddeanofficial choreograph a full routine for us too was so special. I loved working with them."
He added: "Although I won’t be able to skate for maybe a couple of months. I intend on getting back on the ice and keeping it up. I really do love it."
