AN original Gladiator has surprised fans by appearing in Netflix chart-topper The Gentlemen.
The series - which dropped earlier this month - is created by Guy Ritchie and stars Theo James and Kaya Scodelario.
But in episodes six and seven, eagle-eyed viewers have spotted a blast from the past in the form of Mark Smith, aka Rhino from the original series of Gladiators.
Mark plays a gangster character called Mo Rahim and looks sharp in a suit, a stark contrast to the Lycra-esque ensemble he wore on Gladiators.
The star appeared on the ITV show - which was recently rebooted on the BBC - from 1995 until 2000.
As well as the normal series of Gladiators, he also participated in International versions of the show which combined the UK Gladiators with others from around the world, such as The Ashes and the Springbok Challenge.

Following his departure from the show, Mark has carved out an impressive acting career.
He has appeared in films including The Enforcer, Angel Has Fallen and Yardie, as well as TV series The Last Ship and Criminal Minds.
He even made a five-episode appearance in EastEnders in 2005 as a character called Johnson.
Mark took to his Instagram to celebrate his latest project, sharing a clip of him on The Gentlemen and writing: "No 1 @netflix right now.
