BBC News’ Martine Croxall launches legal battle against broadcaster after being pulled off screens for entire year
The 55-year-old was stood down along with four other female presenters after the BBC merged its news channels last year
MARTINE Croxall has launched legal action against the BBC after being off air for more than a year, according to reports.
The 55-year-old news anchor was among five female broadcasters pulled off air last year and hasn't been seen on screen since March 2023.

Martine's disappearance follows the merging of the BBC's news channels in a cost-cutting measure.
She was stood down from presenting duties alongside Geeta Guru-Murthy, Karin Giannone, Kasia Madera and Annita McVeigh.
However, in recent weeks Geeta and Annita returned to the studio after being handed chief presenting roles.
Martine, Kasia and Karin are still off air with no indication as to when they will return.

Following this, reports Martine has now launched legal action against the Beeb and will take them to a two-day employment tribunal next month.
The BBC declined to comment when contacted by The Sun.
The shock news comes after Martine appeared to confirm to her followers she was returning to the broadcaster last month.
She told fans her on air comeback was "not long now" before adding how "it’ll be great to be back on air in what promises to be a busy year".

However, Martine stopped short on revealing an exact date, telling them: "Date tbc but not long!"
Last week Karin announced her return to BBC News had been hampered after undergoing major surgery.
