Strict 8am embargo 08/08/24 ..SMARTY has partnered with frequent flyer, Gemma Collins, to unveil The Roam Free Robe, a specially designed coat to help holiday goers avoid excess baggage charges this summer. Photo released August 8 2024. This is the hilarious moment Gemma Collins appeared to ‘check in’ to a flight wearing a specially-designed coat with 23 pockets. The TV star's clothing was bursting with travel essentials, including must-have minis in a waterproof-lined pocket, t-shirts, a beach towel, a pair of flip-flops, her phone and several charging devices. The functional coat for frequent flyers, whose 23 pockets are a nod to the standard 23kg luggage allowance, was commissioned by SMARTY Mobile, which has named it the ‘Roam Free Robe’. It comes after a study of 2,000 flyers, also commissioned by the SIM only provider, revealed the top 20 bugbears when it comes to air travel and airports, which include unexpected charges for overweight or oversized baggage, drop off car park fees and getting stung with charges to use your phone. .

This week it was announced Gemma's fellow former Towie star Pete Wicks has joined Strictly for the new series - becoming the first person from the ITVBe reality show to take part.

Despite the show seemingly lifting its apparent ban on reality stars in recent years, with Love Island's Tasha Ghouri having also joined the latest line-up, Gemma has no interest in adding it to her CV.

During an exclusive interview with The Sun, Gemma had a strong response when asked if she'd do the show.

She said: "No. I don’t fancy it. I saw all the stuff [about the scandal]. I don’t know what it is about the show that people fall over backwards about."

And it seems the recent negativity surrounding Strictly has had a lasting impact, as Gemma continued: "I wouldn’t want to be embroiled in all of that, it’s put me right off."

While many celebrities see Strictly as one of the top shows to be part of, The GC doesn't agree.

She said: "I don’t fall over myself to do anything, never have and never will. If you live your life dreaming of getting onto Strictly you need to go out and get into nature."

Gemma is known for her love of jetting off on holiday so it makes sense that she's teamed up with to introduce a way to get around the the standard 23kg allowance for luggage on planes.

They've launched the Roam Free Robe - a coat that has 23 pockets to allow travellers to carry whatever they need and avoid potential extra charges.

And Gemma thinks the idea is going to change travel completely for people heading on holiday.

She said: "I’m revolutionary, I’m there before everyone else is. I think it’s fabulous.

"I have been stung at so many airports and totally overcharged on so many occasions.

"I was like, ‘do you know what? This ain’t happening anymore’. I’m wearing that robe, I’m doing it GC style, avoiding all charges at all costs and I’m gonna spend my money on holiday."
