Big Brother’s Marcello has secret connection to Peter Andre revealed as youth worker enters house

BIG Brother contestant Marcello has revealed he's got a musical background, and it includes a link to a famous 90s star.

Marcello, from East London, has joined the line up for this year's Big Brother on ITV.

Joining 15 other housemates, it turns out he might have some famous links from his career outside the Big Brother house.

Describing himself as "a connoisseur when it comes to rap", The Sun can reveal that Marcello co-wrote Junior Andre's debut single - son of Peter Andre - in 2023.

The 17-year-old singer's single, Only One, was produced by Luke Grieve and is said to reflect upon a particular relationship in which “even the negatives became positive”.

Marcello has also released his own music before he entered the ITV show, with an EP titled Endless Drive: A Love Story.

Marcello, 34, currently works as a youth mentor in East London and has said he wants to challenge himself in the house.

He admitted: "I applied to test myself and see where I could take my new found confidence and the love I have for the world."

Speaking before he entered the house he also revealed another previous occupation as he highlighted the sides of himself he'll show in the house.

He said: "I used to be a chef so I’m looking forward to cooking for people.

"I end up being a shoulder for people to lean on a lot because I’m genuinely caring.

"So I think I’m going to bring a lot of love, positivity and crazy, fun moments full of banter."

Marcello's appearance in the Big Brother house comes as the ITV launch show saw 16 new housemates move into the Big Brother house.

However not everyone was pleased to see the social experiment reality TV show back, as some viewers were less than impressed with the amount of ad breaks during the show.

Last week The Sun revealed  - with the bedroom playing host to a twist.

A show insider told The Sun: "In this year's abode bosses have installed a special bed that will be reserved for the King and Queen of the house.

"There are spots for 16 housemates this year, but whoever ends up bagging a spot in the gigantic bed will receive special treatment."
