First look at iconic BBC series as it returns after 25 YEARS with brand new episodes
THE BBC have released a first-look at one of its most iconic series which is finally making a comeback after 25 years.
Walking with Dinosaurs is being revived for a brand new six-part series almost a quarter of a century on from its premiere.
The natural history series will follow a different story each episode and focus in on a different dinosaur each time.
The world's leading dinosaur hunters will continue to investigate the remains of various different pre-historic creatures in a bid to learn and find out more about them.
Using new state-of-the-art technology, the dinosaurs will be brought to life with viewers able to see how they likely moved and interacted for the very first time.
In new first-look images, the dinosaurs can be seen for the first time.

One appears to show an Albertosaurus - a relative of the T-Rex, as well as a Pachyrhinosaurus - a relative of the plant-eating Triceratops..
In another tender image, a baby pachyrhinosaurus nuzzles its mother in a heart-warming image.
Speaking about reviving the programme for the first time since 1999, Jack Bootle, the BBC's Head of Commissioning for Specialist Factual, said: “A whole new generation of viewers is about to fall in love with Walking With Dinosaurs.
"The original series was one of the most exciting factual shows of all time, and this reinvention builds on that amazing legacy.

What is Walking with Dinosaurs?
Walking with Dinosaurs originally aired in 1999, but is soon set for a comeback. Here is what you need to know about the programme.

- The original Walking with Dinosaurs was a six-part nature documentary aired on the BBC with narration from Sir Kenneth Branagh.
- Inspired by the film Jurassic Park, the programme combined CGI and animatronics with live action footage to recreate extinct species.
- Walking with Dinosaurs received critical acclaim, including two Baftas, three Emmy Awards and a Peabody Award.
- It was also the most expensive documentary series per minute ever made, with a cost of £37,654 per minute to produce.
- The show's success spawned follow-ups including Walking with Beasts, Walking with Cavemen and Walking with Monsters.
