Inside Celebrity Bear Hunt star Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen’s incredible home with huge extension and quirky design

LAURENCE Llewellyn Bowen's incredible country mansion has had new life breathed into it in recent years.
The huge home houses Celebrity Bear Hunt star Laurence, 59, and wife Jackie, their two daughters — Hermione and Cecile — and their husbands — Dan and Drew — and their four grandchildren — Albion, Demelza, Romily, Eleanora.
It's all a world away from how it was 17 years ago when the interior designer first bought it for his family of four.
Youngest daughter Hermione, 25, said in a recent Instagram post: "They wanted a smaller house, we wanted a bigger one, cue tearing down the library, ripping down walls, only to rebuild the same place and creating holes large enough in the floor to cause a lawsuit.
"All in the name of multi-generational living. Half the house, half the cost, ten times the laundry."
While the country bolt hole can be a madhouse at times, Laurence has a newly-finished kitchen that he can call his sanctuary.
Revealing it over the festive period, Laurence branded it "perfect" and said: "Bespoke vinyl floor from Harvey Maria in a pattern I'm calling Festivo.
"I just can't wait to never cook in here, just stand looking ornamental."
His followers loved the vibrant colours and homely feel.
One commented: "What a gorgeous bright, colourful, happy kitchen, love it."
Another said: "Wow vinyl flooring is fabulous great colours. You can't be good vinyl warm, hard-wearing love it."
A third wrote: "Oh my word - I love this kitchen. That floor- wonderful."
The Changing Rooms star's boudoir is just as lavish as you'd expect, with his signature patterned wallpaper rich in character and perfectly complementing the hanging artworks framed in gold.
Then there's the morning room with an antique sideboard and eye-catching armchair perfect for enjoying a cuppa and reading a paper.
Outside, there is an immaculately maintained garden with a huge pond shaded by flourishing trees, while a gravel path winds beside pretty flowerbeds.
It's that perfect blend of youthful vitality and more mature touches that make it such a treasure trove for all ages.
Last summer, Laurence told the My Dirty Laundry podcast: "We have our big manor house filled with children and pieces of brightly coloured plastic and Peppa Pig again.
"I think it's something that more and more people should be doing. For us boomers, we're all sort of surprised we've made it to sixty.
"I think everyone thought we would live fast and die young, rather than live very, very slowly and die really quite old."
