DANCING on Ice fans were left absolutely furious as they slammed the final format as a 'farce'.
Coronation Street star Sam Aston, Springwatch presenter Michaela Strachan and former footballer Anton Ferdinand battled it out for the trophy.
Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern returned to the airwaves to preside over the last episode of the 17th series of the ITV skating show.
All three stars took to the ice with their respective professional partners as they competed for the crown on Dancing on Ice.
It seems all the contestants impressed the judges panel made of Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse.
In the first round, all three skaters danced with a large group of the other professionals in a showcase for the ages that was choreographed by Torvill and Dean.

They gave all three couples a perfect score of 40 for each of their respective ice dancing routines.
Many fans took to social media as they claimed that Corrie personality Sam did not deserve the full marks for his performance.
Writing on X - formerly known as Twitter - one fan raged: "How can #Anton get a 10 when he made a mistake and that has to be the most boring showcase for #Sam."
A second noted: "Well, that wasn't showcasing hardly any skating Sam imo."

"40 for Sam? No way. He hardly done anything," angrily stated a third.
As someone else posted: "Although I like Sam and he was entertaining he got lifted a lot and just skated around. Sorry but again not ten worthy."
And a fifth added: "Sam hardly even skated! That was so not worth a 40. Absolutely dreadful performance."
Indeed, more fans called the entire primetime show a 'farce' as they bemoaned the judges scoring.
An additional fan remarked online: "I'm guessing the judges are giving out 10's for them all then.... No matter what."
As a seventh said: "Holly: “I’ve never known this, everyone getting 10’s in the final” We can’t believe it either. It’s farcical."
