The Office star wins ‘substantial’ compo after suing Disney over horror injury suffered fighting ogre

THE Office actor Ralph Ineson has won an out-of-court settlement after suing Disney over an injury suffered on set.
The 55-year-old slipped on gravel and injured his shoulder while fighting a 9ft ogre.
He had been filming for a sequel series to 1980s film Willow in Bridgend, South Wales.
We told in December 2023 how he was seeking damages of up to £150,000.
Ralph who played boss David Brent’s mouthy mate Finchy in The Office, is understood to have accepted a substantial sum.
A source said: “He is happy the whole thing has been put to bed.
“There is not much doubt he suffered a bad injury.”
His claim against the Walt Disney Company Ltd — filed at London’s High Court — said his ability to play parts “involving fighting and horse-riding” has been permanently impaired.
Legal papers claimed fake foam gravel was not raked properly and obscured steps, causing Ralph, who was playing a knight, to fall and land awkwardly on his right arm.
His lawyer David White said “The claimant felt the immediate onset of pain.
"He stoically kept quiet until the end of the shoot before speaking up.”
Ralph’s spokeswoman and Disney did not comment yesterday.
