Eurovision host pulls out of contest at the last minute and is replaced by huge British pop star

A EUROVISION host has suddenly pulled out of the contest, with a HUGE pop star stepping in to replace them.
The final for the famous Song Contest gets underway tomorrow, and the BBC's plans have had to be changed at the last minute.
Dr Who star Ncuti Gatwa, is no long able to read out the scores from the UK jury, and is being replaced by Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
A statement from the BBC read: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, unfortunately is no longer able to participate as Spokesperson during the Grand Final this weekend.
"However, we are delighted to confirm that BBC Radio 2’s very own Friday night Kitchen Disco Diva Sophie Ellis-Bextor will be presenting the Jury result live from the UK."
A thrilled Sophie said: “I love Eurovision and it’s a privilege to be part of 2025’s Grand Final.
"What an honour it is to announce the UK’s jury score on such a special show which always puts music front and centre.
"I am very much looking forward to delivering the iconic douze points from the United Kingdom!”
Sophie will be seen announcing the scores from the British jury.
The popular pop star shot to fame in the early noughties with hits like Murder On The Dancefloor and Groovejet (If This Ain't Love).
Throughout the years the mum-of-five has remained in the spotlight.
She has her own fashion line, appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, and continues to perform at festivals.
Meanwhile, Graham Norton returns to provide his witty commentary that has become legendary over the years.
He took over from the late Terry Wogan in 2009 and has been a fan favourite ever since.
Eurovision will kick off tomorrow night at in Basel, Switzerland.
The Song Contest will be hosted by Hazel Brugger, Michelle Hunziker and Sandra Studer.
