JK Rowling breaks silence on new Harry Potter stars as Ron, Hermione and Harry are recast for TV series

JK Rowling has broken her silence after the actors set to play Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley in the upcoming HBO series were confirmed.
Yesterday it was revealed that Dominic McLaughlin will star as Harry, while Arabella Stanton and Alistair Stout will portray Hermione and Ron respectively.
Harry Potter author JK, 59 - who will also serve as executive producer of the TV series - has now had her say on the young trio.
Writing on social media after the news broke, she said: “All three are wonderful. I couldn't be happier.”
Showrunner Franscesca Gardiner and lead director Mark Mylod said: “After an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione, and Ron.
"The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen.

"We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It's been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there.”
The Harry Potter films went on to become the fourth highest-grossing film franchise of all time, so newcomers Dominic, Arabella and Alistair have undoubtedly got some big shoes to fill.
In the movies Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint starred as Harry, Ron and Hermione.
While it’s been reported fans could have to wait until 2027 for the first series of the HBO reboot, other cast members have been confirmed.

Last month it was announced John Lithgow will play Professor Albus Dumbledore.
Other castings include Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid and Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape.
The Sun recently shared a first-look at the £1billion mini-town in which the series will be filmed.
Producers are pouring money into Warner Bros’ rapidly expanding studio complex at Leavesden, just outside Watford, Herts.
It will include new roads, multi-storey car parks and vast hangars to house the sets.
A school is being built for the hundreds of young actors who will have to commit to filming for years, while a facility is needed for dogs, birds of prey, rodents, snakes, spiders and horses which will appear.
