FIRST Dates Hotel viewers were left weeping after romance hopeful Matt confessed how his brain tumour hampered his love life - before being bluntly friend-zoned by his date.
The brave Channel 4 show contestant talked of his harrowing medical history and how his diagnosis sparked a "fear of missing out on memories".

Unfortunately, he also missed out on a second date with Dania, who said she didn't want to see him again and saw him more as a friend.
Matt explained how, after his initial appointment and removal of the tumour, the doctor said he was "probably fine" yet candidly added he was still "walking a line a little bit".
During his dinner date at the Italian hotel with the curly-haired brunette, she appeared interested.
She quizzed him on how the diagnosis had impacted his outlook on life, and whether it had changed his thought process.

Matt, who was bubbly and excited, replied: "I didn't actually get the all clear - I'm worried that I won't meet someone, for the very reason that I'm worried I might die.
"It changes your attitude to everything, relationships especially."
Then speaking in a segment to camera, he added: "I meet someone and I am married and have kids with someone in like an hour, or like five minutes.
"It's the fear of missing out on making memories, that's the thing I am scared off, missing out on that."

Fans on Twitter gushed over Matt's sweet demeanour and honest attitude - and were left gutted when he was still solo at the end of the show.

First Dates Hotel is a spin-off from the original First Dates series, where guests instead stay in a hotel and have dinner there instead - with the added benefit of sun tan potential.
