She was approached by Strictly Come Dancing bosses, but could not appear in the BBC show this year as she was still in the States.

But Mum of four Coleen has now moved back to the UK, and will be joined by hubby Wayne, 33, when he joins crisis club Derby in January.

And last night a source said: “Coleen could well do Strictly next year, but in the meantime has other TV stuff lined up.

“It was not possible this year due to travelling back and forth from America but it cannot be ruled out.

“Coleen is also really passionate about doing fashion stuff, so that is where she will focus her efforts.

“A show is being lined up for ITV or Channel 4 and she is likely to design items on it.

“TV executives reckon getting her on will be TV gold and will appeal in particular to young Mums.

“Coleen put things on hold to go to America with Wayne last year – but wants to kick-start her career back on home soil.

“Don’t forget she was an extremely successful businesswoman before she stopped work due to family commitments.”

DC United star Roo joins Championship side Derby in January, and is set to commute from the family’s Cheshire home.

Mrs Rooney presented ITV show Coleen’s Real Women in 2008 and has also appeared on Hell’s Kitchen and X Factor.

She also had a deal with clothing giant Littlewoods and wrote a column for a glossy mag.

But Coleen focused on family after giving birth to her and Wayne’s first son Kai in November 2009.

The couple now have four boys aged eight, six, three and one.

A spokesman for Coleen declined to comment.
