BRITAIN’S Got Talent legends Stavros Flatley are set to rock the showbiz world by announcing they are breaking up.

Lagi Demetriou, 23, is leaving the father-and-son duo to concentrate on his barber shop in Cyprus, home of the recently opened Stavros Flatley Museum which is located inside the toilets.

His dad Demi, 51, famous for his tattoo of the map of Cyprus on his belly, will continue to perform with his nephew Samson, 17, who is taking over from his son.

Lagi will reveal during Saturday night’s Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions final that he will be stepping down, meaning the ITV showpiece is likely to be their last performance together.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Lagi said: “We’ve done this for 10 years for a joke.

“We’ve done so many amazing things but what is there left to do? We’ve done the Royal Variety, we’ve played in China, Monaco - everywhere.

“So when we got to The Champions, I thought this was the right time to leave. But Simon Cowell told me not to quit forever. So I will return for some shows.”

Demi claims the pair have made more than £2million from their exploits on the show and have performed all over the world.

They became a cult hit in the 2009 series, which featured Susan Boyle and eventual winners Diversity, courtesy of their hilarious take on Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance routine.

The former restaurant owner, who now spends most of his time in Cyprus where he runs a water sports business, describes their success as “a joke which has got out of hand”.

But he believes Samson will be a hit with fan as unlike tubby Demi and Lagi, he has muscles.

Demi added: “He has a six-pack - I’ve given up getting one of those.”
