KILLING Eve star Jodie Comer and gold medal winner Katarina Johnson Thompson are best mates - and it's shocked fans, who had no idea they grew up together.
The award winning actress and the sports queen have a surprise connection - they went to school together, has revealed.
Jodie has just won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as villainous Villanelle in Killing Eve, while Katarina, just this week, was the toast of the nation as she won the heptathlon gold at the World Athletics Championship.
After years of dedication, tears and attempts, she finally secured her status as world champion in Doha - even breaking the legendary Jessica Ennis-Hill's British record.
No wonder fans have been surprised that the pair are actually firm friends - despite having totally different jobs.
Jodie and the heptathlete and pentathlete Katarina actually go back years - a friendship which began from their school days when they both attended a Catholic Girls school in Liverpool.
Jodie, 25, and Katarina, 26, both went to St Julie’s school in Liverpool.
They were both strong in their separate fields of sports and drama - and they always cheered each other on as they honed the skills that would make them famous.
They are still in a close knit friendship group with a WhatsApp group called 'h**s in different area codes" because they are always travelling.
Jodie said: "We’ve got a girls’ group chat. It’s called ‘H**s in Different Area Codes’ because we are never in the same place at the same time ... so that’s always very lively!"
The duo have been supporting each other on social media after their acting and sporting achievements.
Katarina wrote after her pal’s BAFTA win for Best Actress: "Unbelievably proud of @jodiecomer,”
“So bloody talented and getting the recognition you deserve!"

Jodie was equally gushing, saying: “Katty is such a modest, humble person. She’ll go away and compete in something amazing and the only way you’ll hear about it is on the news.”
The actress doesn’t miss an opportunity to post Instagram snaps with her super-fit pal and their gang of “foodie” mates, who she says especially love Liverpool restaurant Maray.
Along with touching snaps in supportive “Team KJT” T-shirts, there are glamorous shots taken on girls’ away days at Ascot in 2017 and 2018.
