The Spice Girls Australian tour and Las Vegas residency have been axed over ‘feud’ between Geri and Mel B

FOR anyone who hoped the Spice Girls would Viva Forever following their UK tour, I have bad news.
I can reveal plans for a tour of Australia and a Las Vegas residency have been axed after Geri Horner refused to go back on the road with Mel B.
The pair met with bandmates Emma Bunton and Melanie C last month to discuss the future of the group following 13 sold-out UK stadium shows in the spring.
The Sun told in July how Geri was poised to quit — just as she did in 1998. A music source explained: “Mel B was the driving force behind discussions to go international with the Spice World tour but she wasn’t on the same page as the others.
“She is a real character and has long clashed with Geri, who decided it wasn’t worth carrying on as things could really become explosive.
“Last time they performed in the US, in 2008, there was chaos with all the arguing. It has put Geri off — as well as Melanie C and Emma to some degree.
“Mel B had announced during their final show at Wembley Stadium in June that they were going to tour Australia, which really annoyed Geri.
“The UK shows were so special and Geri made it clear she just wasn’t into carrying the tour on.”
The drama means the group are turning down big-money deals, with around £50million believed to be on the table if they could agree.
The source added: “Geri was adamant that doing big commitments abroad would only be worth it if they were financially lucrative. But the payday for a residency would be much lower than their UK shows and would mean the girls being away from their families and other jobs for a prolonged period.
“Family life is really important to them all and they were concerned about how they would be able to make any of it work.”
Not having Victoria Beckham on board also became a sticking point during negotiations, with the MGM Group and Caesars Entertainment in Las Vegas turning their noses up at the idea of only four of the band performing.
However, they could still reunite for Glastonbury’s 50th festival next June. I know that’s exactly what Mel — and their fans — really, really want . . .
CARDI B has spent three years making a name for herself – and now she wants to change it.
The I Like It rapper performed in this revealing outfit at Austin City Limits festival in Texas on Sunday and announced that after another show in the US state today, she wouldn’t be on stage again until next year.
She is taking time out to work on her second album, which she says will be called Tiger Woods, and when she returns in 2020 she is going to rebrand.
Cardi, who arrived 30 minutes late for her show, then went on Twitter to suggest new names.
She wrote: “Cardi B OR La Caldiiii? Should my new name be La Caldi Asada?”
Cardi or Caldi, she’d definitely feel coldy if she wore this outfit in the UK right now.
ROBBIE Williams has been harsh with collaborators on his upcoming Christmas collection.
Daughter Teddy gets the nod but other kids Charlie and Coco won’t get a look in. And wife Ayda gets to speak but her singing got the chop.
Robbie said on an Instagram live broadcast: “Appearing on her first Robbie Williams song this Christmas is Theodora Rose Williams.”
Ayda interrupted: “You’re going to have to start including the other children.” But he explained: “Teddy is the only one who can sing.”
And Ayda confessed: “On one of them I’m singing . . . It didn’t make the cut.”
DERMOT Kennedy is on course to go to No1 with debut album Without Fear. The Outnumbered singer is in the top spot in the mid-week update ahead of other new releases from The Darkness at No3 and Simple Minds at No4.
ACROSS 24 films, James Bond has been cinema’s most notorious womaniser.
But 57 years after he first hit the big screen, 007 is finally ready to settle down – mostly due to the #MeToo scandal.
Naomie Harris, who returns as Miss Moneypenny alongside Daniel Craig as Bond in next year’s No Time To Die, explained: “I think we’re going to really shock people. I would say that he’s reconnected with his heart.
“We’re definitely seeing a Bond who’s more in touch with his feelings and more open to falling in love.
“It’s just about moving with the times and recognising that women can no longer be seen as eye candy.”
LIAM Hemsworth is throwing himself into work following his split from Miley Cyrus.
The actor was hit by a taxi as he did one of his own stunts when he got back to his day job following their shock separation in August, just seven months after they married.
He was shooting in Canada for action film Dodge And Miles and was also snapped with fake cuts on his face. He is bound to hurting in real life too.
Hours before, Miley went public with new Aussie boyfriend, singer Cody Simpson, just two weeks after ending things with girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter.
I can barely keep up.
RIHANNA is to put out a “visual” autobiography telling her story in more than 1,000 photos across 504 pages. The 12in by 16in book, out on October 24, weighs 15lb and the cheapest of four editions will set you back a whopping £120.
JOHN Legend has made a bid to be the most woke celebrity going, after revealing he has ditched his gas-guzzling car and installed solar panels at his California mansion to help the environment.
The ten-time Grammy winner has thrown his support behind campaigner Greta Thunberg but said he has long been doing his bit to help.
In an exclusive chat, the eco-friendly singer said: “I’ve been thinking about it for years. We started using electric cars, we started using solar panels at the house, we do several things that hopefully will help.
“But as much as individuals can do, and I think individuals should try to do it, this is a global issue that requires big efforts from governments around the world to really make a significant change. As much as individuals can do small things to help improve the situation, the real key is that governments need to act.”
That isn’t the only way the All Of Me singer is going green though, as he has called for the legalisation of cannabis after investing in CBD products, which some users take to help them sleep.
He explained: “I just believe that the government should allow companies to do this research unfettered and allow everyone to explore whatever benefits CBD might have medically. And also we should stop arresting people for using it recreationally. bWe had prohibition for too long and I think it hasn’t been successful. We need to have full legalisation.”
But he won’t be bringing any over to the UK when he headlines BluesFest at London’s O2 Arena on October 25, with tickets on sale now through Live Nation’s website.
Instead he’ll be getting his thrills from the telly. John added: “We’ve been hearing from our friends that we should watch Love Island. Everyone’s talking about that one.” That might make him sleepy, too.
MARK Wright was left feeling “lonely” during his three-year stint working in LA. The telly presenter, who returned to the UK this year, said on his Heart radio show: “I can’t tell you how much I missed the normal things . . . the things we moaned about before I went and how lonely I felt and how sad I felt. And that was all because I was chasing the money.”
