THE Walking Dead’s Whisperers welcome a terrifying new recruit called Gamma as they teeter on the edge of collapse.
Series 10 of the hit AMC apocalyptic horror series returned in the US on Sunday night, with the second episode in the season set to concentrate on The Whisperers and their latest member.
Called We Are The End Of The World, the backstory of Alpha and Beta will be explored.
During an intense discussion, Beta is seen dominating Alpha and running a knife over her bald head.
He tells her: "We are far from the enemy, their fear will subside. It's time that the pack returns.
"The others have spoken of the life they saw, she unsettles the pack."
Alpha replies: "There is clarity amid the chaos. Do you doubt me?"
As Beta insists he 'never' doubts her, the initiation of new member Gamma is seen.
The new character is played by Thora Birch, with her signing announced at San Diego Comic Con in July.
Gamma has been described as a "Whisperer sentry fiercely protective of Alpha", but she could prove to be the catalyst for a divide among the group.

Samantha Morton, who plays Alpha, spoke of her excitement at what's ahead for her character and the Whisperers.
She said: "In Season 10, I’m most excited for the fans to see Alpha’s humanity, and understanding a little bit more about what are the Whisperers, why they behave the way they behave.
"We’ve already seen this within the entire show, I think, but how the apocalypse affects some people one way and other people another way, and how primal instincts can take over individuals.
"Seeing more of that from a female perspective, as well, I think, is quite important. With Alpha being this female villain, it’s interesting to explore."
