Aaron Paul hits back at criticism El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie has grave lack of female characters

AARON Paul has answered critics who claimed there aren't enough female characters in El Camino: A Breaking Bad movie.
The feature-length spin-off of the cult hit dropped on Netflix last weekend, but some fans are annoyed by the lack of women in it.
There are only five women in any scene at all, and only two of them get lines.
Speaking exclusively to, the actor, who plays Jesse Pinkman, said: "I’m sorry that you have an issue with it. But maybe take it as a compliment that all the bad people happen to be men. Right?
"Maybe they could’ve come up with a great villain, female character, but I don’t know. Another time!"
El Camino picks up where Breaking Bad finished off.
At the end of the TV series, Jesse escaped his white supremacist captors in an El Camino car, hence the title of the film.
Walter White, the lead character from Breaking Bad played by Bryan Cranston, was killed at the end of the series.
But the character made a surprising cameo in the movie, appearing in a flashback.
The move was so top secret, movie bosses flew Bryan on a private jet to the set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, so the spoiler wouldn't leak.
Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan has also admitted he used El Camino to deal with his regrets from the celebrated drama.
While Vince is extremely proud of the TV series, which aired for five seasons from 2008 until 2013, the film gave him a chance to address one of his few regrets.
In the movie, a number of flashback scenes show Jesse with Todd Alquist, the sociopath who tortured him at the white supremacist compound.
While Jesse finally got revenge on Todd in the Breaking Bad finale, Vince was pleased to be able to explore more of Todd's character in the flashbacks.

Speaking to , he explained: "We did talk a lot about Todd in the writers’ room. We were fascinated by his character and for my taste, we did not get enough Todd in Breaking Bad.
"I have to add that as a reason why I really was interested in doing this movie. Todd kind of snuck up on all of us writers.
"He is a character quite unlike any I’ve ever seen in a movie. He’s just a fascinating character."
