STRICTLY Come Dancing fans are up in arms once again last night and accused the judges of being 'biased' by saving BBC Breakfast star Mike Bushell.

Viewers were stunned when Emma Weymouth was sent packing over Mike - despite the fact that he appeared to make a mistake in the dance off when Katya Jones messed up a lift during their Charleston.

While judge Bruno Tonioli pointed out the error was actually Katya's fault, not Mike's, fans were still unimpressed that the pair survived - especially as they have been in the dance off for three weeks in a row.

But last night, all four judges unanimously voted to keep Mike and send Emma home- despite the furore caused last week when Catherine Tyldesley was given the boot over him.

And the decision baffled viewers at home, who took to social media to share their outrage.

One vented: "@bbcstrictly When is this farce going to end? Mike Bushell again through. @BBC bias."

A second asked: "I'm a bit confused by @bbcstrictly- Mike made a mistake in the dance off, nearly dropped Katya, yet got through? Huh? #Strictly"

A third fumed: "Mike Bushell who cannot dance any steps should really have ignored the bias judges and graciously himself given the correct result to rightful better dancers. He must have a huge ego. Strictly come dancing, you should be ashamed of yourselves. He is not a dancer."

A fourth mentioned bias again, saying: "OMG the biased going on for Mike Bushell is so obvious he is generally poor dance but because a he’s BBC and they love him he will stay in the show my god show is not great this year."

And another accused the judges of 'acting' like they thought Mike was the better dancer.

They wrote: "The #Strictly judges acting skills were put to the test this week pretending to think Mike Bushell’s dance routine was better than Emma Weymouth’s to keep him in the competition. The public could see right through it #bbcbreakfast."

This was seconded by another viewer who tweeted: "What is it with Mike Bushell? It's nothing personal, but the man can't dance & it's a DANCE show. He almost dropped Katya during that dance off & he's saved by all FOUR judges. There's something very fishy going on this year & it stinks!"

Echoing this, one even said: "@bbcstrictly what IS happening this year? I have nothing against Mike Bushell but really ....he and Katya made at least two mistakes. It's time to let the comedy act leave now surely! Have the BBC nobbled the judges or what?"

But while many have called the result a fix, Mike's Breakfast colleague Dan Walker has come out to defend him remaining in the competition.

Dan spoke out in support of his colleague - who has even received vile death threats - during this morning's episode of BBC Breakfast.

Dan, 42, raged: "I'm getting increasingly annoyed with people giving [Mike] grief.

Some of it is getting a bit cruel. All he's doing is enjoying himself.

"He's trying really hard and all four of the judges said he was the better performer in the dance off than the Viscountess who went home."

Quashing claims that Mike is repeatedly being saved because of his links with the BBC, Dan added: "He's certainly not being kept in there because he's working for the BBC.

"That's a ridiculous accusation."
