STRICTLY'S injured Neil Jones STILL doesn't know if he will dance with Alex Scott on Saturday - and won't find out until tomorrow.

The professional dancer, 37, has been forced to miss two weeks of live shows after a devastating calf muscle injury during rehearsals - with fellow pro dancer Kevin Clifton, 37, stepping in.

Tonight Neil, Alex, 35, and Kevin appeared on Strictly It Takes Two to talk about who will take to the dancefloor this weekend.

Despite saying earlier this week he felt "positive" of a return on Saturday - he won't know officially until tomorrow.

"I'm really hoping. I still don't know," Neil admitted. "I've been dancing a lot today. I've been doing that. It's been feeling good, but I need to be passed by the physio."

Neil will have that exam with the physio tomorrow (November 8), which means he, Alex and Kevin will only have one day before showtime on Saturday to know which configuration will be dancing.

"I've been dancing with both, and Neil will make the decision," Alex explained. "If he's 100%, I know he will go out there and dance. Actually, I just want to say how frustrating it's been for Neil.

"Just hearing everybody speak about me dancing with Kev, and this guy is amazing! I want to be at the level that I'm at with him right now. Whether I'm dancing with Neil or I'm dancing with Kev, they are both amazing guys."

Earlier in the week Neil took to Twitter to confirm that he has been busy partaking in ice baths in order to help the injury heal faster.

"I was so busy answering messages that I didn’t realise I had been in the ICEBATH for 30mins," he tweeted on Tuesday.

Ice baths are thought to help athletes and dancers who need to reduce inflammation and improve recovery of injuries.

The cold changes the way blood flows through the body by constricting the vessels. When the vessels warm up again and open wider, it is thought that metabolic waste can then be flushed out easier.

If he returns this weekend, Neil and Alex will be doing the Jive to Let's Twist Again.

However, if he doesn't get the all OK, Kevin - who left the competition after performing with Aneeka Rice - will stand in for him again - watch this space.
