Former Hollyoaks star Ricky Whittle splashes out £1.2m on incredible Hollywood home with huge pool and wine cellar

FORMER Hollyoaks star Ricky Whittle has splashed out £1.2million on a new Hollywood home, which features a huge pool and a wine cellar.
The 37-year-old, who has lived in the US for some time now and is currently starring in American Gods, paid nearly £100,000 over the asking price for the stunning property.
Located in the upscale LA neighbourhood of Woodland Hills and remodelled in the 2000s, the two-storey home, which has three bedrooms and four bathrooms, sets a stately tone with a stunning entrance foyer with a staircase.
Inside the 4,107 square foot house is a living room – which has views of Los Angeles from a curved wall of windows.
There’s a centre-island kitchen and a chandelier-topped dining room that opens to a spacious terrace.
The games room adds a wet bar and wine cellar, which is perfect for Ricky to entertain his new American pals.
The master bedroom suite has a fireplace, Juliet balcony and marble bathroom with a spa tub.
Outside, a patio with custom statues descends via dual staircases to a swimming pool.
On top of all that, the half-acre property boasts a detached glasshouse that could function as a greenhouse or studio.
Ricky rose to fame playing Calvin Valentine in Hollyoaks and as Ryan Naysmith in Sky One's Dream Team.
He left Hollyoaks in 2011 and headed to America where he has carved out a successful career for himself.

He has appeared in shows such as Single Ladies, The 100 and Mistresses, to name a few.
Earlier this year the actor surprised viewers when he appeared on This Morning and appeared to have an American accent.
Phillip Schofield even addressed the fact Ricky, who now lives in the States, had turned American, saying he had gone "all LA".
Adopting an American accent, Phil mocked: "It's a long way from Hollyoaks isn't it? You are really very LA now. You just can't help it can you?"
Ricky replied, unironically: "I say sidewalk. I also say elevator."
