Strictly’s Mike Bushell has had a facelift after the dance show made him self conscious
STRICTLY Come Dancing star Mike Bushell has undergone a facelift after appearing on the show left him self-conscious.
The BBC Breakfast sports presenter - who was eliminated from Strictly last month - underwent a procedure called a Strawberry Lift, favoured by the likes of Kelly Brook and Lisa Snowdon.
He told the Mail Online: "I think it's just with Strictly and losing weight I wanted to tidy any flabby lose skin. And I was intrigued by this natural process."
Mike added: "I was intrigued to use the Strawberry Lift and not undergo invasive surgery on my chin line. And I wanted to look after my appearance as I approached 54."
Other celebrities said to have undergone the non invasive procedure include former EastEnders legend Michelle Collins, Page 3 icon Samantha Fox and Love Island star Cara De La Hoyde.
While the show may have left him worried about his looks, he revealed during the show that he had lost a stone during his time on it.
Mike told host Claudia Winkleman: "The hours we’ve put in I have lost about a stone!
"People say I am taller because of my posture and my daughters think Katya has banished the dad dancer from the training room!"
He added: "I mean he is only outside the door, so he can come back any time but we are determined to keep him out there and to try and keep on improving."
Mike however was said to be glad to leave the show when he did, with a pal revealing he he was relieved the pressure to be on the contest was over.

A pal told The Sun: “There’s no doubt Mike loves Strictly and working with Katya but he barely has anything left in the tank.
“It’s a fast-paced show which needs 100 per cent commitment and it was all starting to get a bit much.
“Going on for any longer was beginning to look a touch daunting as it’s so mentally and physically draining.
“So leaving at this stage was a relief. He never thought he’d get this far.”
