They added: "She’ll kill it, obviously, but she needs to get back to feeling positive before the performance.

"Friends are worried the Oscars thing has knocked her confidence. It’s the last thing she needs weeks before the biggest performance of her life."

This would have been J.Lo's first Academy Award nomination for her role as Ramona, a headstrong stripper.

Wendy Williams has since insisted the star was "robbed" of a nomination as the Academy's "bougie b***hes" are jealous of her.

The host claimed voters were likely see her as more of a singer than an actress, even though she was nominated for a Golden Globe in 1998 for her role in Selena.

She said: "...I think that they think like... You did Selena, but that was so long ago. And now you sing the songs, 'Waiting For Tonight' and what not. Jen, they're jealous of you."

Instead, Laura Dern (Marriage Story),  (Bombshell), Florence Pugh (Little Women), Kathy Bates (Richard Jewell) and (Jojo Rabbit) were nominated in the category of Best Supporting Actress.

Wendy believes the singer should respond to the snub by pulling out of her performance altogether.
