The skilled military leader underwent something of a redemption story-line after pushing Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) from a balcony upon being caught in an incestuous romp.

He proved his loyalty to younger brother Tyrion (Peter Dinklage), who was treated with scorn by his father Tywin (Chales Dance) and sister Cersei (Lena Headey).
Elsewhere, fans were desperate for Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) to pursue a romance with Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) and were thrilled when the pair finally romped in the final series.
However, Jaime soon had second thoughts and ended up travelling to King’s Landing to be with his sister, and one true love Cersei.
Ultimately, the pair were crushed by rubble as they attempted to flee the Red Keep during Daenerys Targaryen’s (Emilia Clarke) attack on King’s Landing.

Well, it turns out Jamie predicted exactly how he would die back in season 5, episode 4.
During a scene with Bron, Jaime said he’d die “in the arms of the woman I love,” which is exactly what transpired.
Fans took to Reddit to comment on the poignant moment of foreshadowing.

“I'm re-watching the show with my dad who's never seen it, and that line happened which I had no idea about, or forgot when he's talking to Bronn,” one wrote.
“I was one of those who was satisfied with their ending, so that was so pretty cool to hear,” they added.
The post prompted others to chime in, with a like-minded fan writing: “It's a line I thought about quite often throughout the rest of the series after it was said because there was much debate over whom he was truly referring to.
“For many, ‘the woman I love’ was of course and most obviously Cersei, but for some, it could have just as easily been Brienne, even though Jaime himself most likely didn't even consciously realize it in the moment.

“So even right up to those very last episodes, I was still juggling between the two and weighing which I thought would finally win this long debate that was always in the back of my mind ever since that scene. And that added so much to my experience and was loads of fun for me!”
The comments come after fans noticed how Arya was trained to kill the Night King from way back in season 1 with a trick imparted by sword master Syrio.
