HOLLY Willoughby and Philip Schofield sent love to This Morning boss Martin Frizell today during his coronavirus isolation.

The Sun Online revealed editor Martin Frizell emailed staff on the ITV daytime show last week to inform them he will be self-isolating for 14 days after his wife Fiona Phillips tweeted that she had the illness.

Speaking to This Morning viewers today, Phil said: "Martin our boss is in self isolation at the moment because his wife has been poorly, so lots of love to them.

"We’re missing him enormously. I think he is missing us enormously. He’s never off the phone!"

Holly, 39, added: "I think he’s missing us more!"

The presenters were said to be "worried" over their health after the show's boss went into self-isolation last week.

Staff and talent had been left concerned they may have been exposed to the virus that has claimed 336 British lives so far.

The show has a host of regular guest presenters including Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.

A source told us: "Martin's been on set and in meetings all week with everyone - there's no-one he hasn't been in contact with.

"There's a real worry that it could spread through everyone and the show won't be able to go on."

An ITV spokeswoman said: "In line with the Public Health England and World Health Organisation guidelines Martin is isolating for 14 days as a member of his family has displayed mild symptoms which are unconfirmed.

"This is a precautionary measure and Martin has no symptoms himself."

Martin's wife, former GMTV presenter Fiona Phillips, announced she had coronavirus last night on Twitter but insisted people should not panic.

She tweeted: "I am in bed with #coronvirusuk  "It’s not a very pleasant bedfellow, but nothing more than sore throat, dry cough, headache & tiredness. As long as it stays that way....DON’T panic!"

In reply to another follower's message, Fiona said she "wasn't suffering" and was fine.

The daily two and a half hour live show is already under stress with the coronavirus pandemic making it difficult to feature guests live in the studio.

It comes as Dr Zoe appeared on This Morning today despite showing signs of coronavirus last week.
