Will there be a White Lines season two on Netflix?
From the makers of popular Netflix show Money Heist, White Lines follows the story of Zoe Walker (Laura Haddock) who travels to Ibiza after her brother Axel's body is found, 20 years after his mysterious disappearance.
Zoe meets up with Axel's (Tom Rhys Harries) best mates - drug dealer Marcus (Daniel Mays), sex party organiser Anna (Angela Griffin), and spiritual guru David (Laurence Fox).
She goes searching for answers to Axel's murder with clubland enforcer Boxer (Nuno Lopes), uncovering a complicated history of troubled relationships, wild sex parties and substance abuse - all playing a part in her brother's demise.
The first season ends with a clear answer to who did it, but there's plenty of scope for a second series to follow.
Netflix has not yet confirmed whether White Lines will be returning for another season, but the cast and creators have hinted the story has not yet ended.
Executive producer Andy Harries told the series was originally planned to run for three seasons and said that the show will return if it is a hit with viewers.
Actress Angela, who plays Anna, before the show's release, revealing: "By the time you get to episode 10, you will feel satisfied but there’s still life in this show yet."
The show's leading star Laura said: “Watching the show made me desperately want to get the opportunity to go back and do a second series.
“I know that everybody is still working and chugging away in the writers’ room and everybody is keeping their fingers crossed that we get to make a second season, but we just don’t know.
“Nobody knows, nobody has got any answers, and I think that is the strangest thing about this situation – ordinarily there would be someone that you could go to and say, ‘Have you got the answer? Can you just give it to me?’
“But nobody does so we are all just crossing our fingers and waiting and we will see, hopefully.”
What could happen next in White Lines?
The ending of season one of White Lines teased what was to come in another series.
There are definitely some loose ends after Zoe finally discovered who was responsible for her brother’s death.
Marcus told Andreu (Pedro Casablanc) how he could take over and lead drug operations on Ibiza - what could go wrong?
Plus there was no conclusion for Zoe and Mike’s (Barry Ward) relationship and whether she will be leaving Ibiza to return home.
Zoe was left grappling with her identity at the end of season one and her dangerous new lifestyle risks ruining her marriage.
