Producer Sally Woodward Gentle explained: "Villanelle has taken [Eve] to a very, very dark place.

"Eve has acknowledged to Villanelle that they both contributed to the death of Dasha, and that means that she's been complicit in quite a few people's deaths.

"What has her exposure to Villanelle given her? It clearly makes her feel alive. That thrill is still there."
