Big Brother’s Ryan Ruckledge is planning marriage and kids with co-star Hughie Maughan after ‘proving everyone wrong’

RYAN Ruckledge found love with fellow housemate Hughie Maughan in the 2016 series and now they're planning a family together.

The Blackpool-born reality star says he loves proving everyone wrong after viewers thought he was "fake" for clinging to popular Hughie on the show.

“I was tortured on the show and off it saying I was using Hughie because he was favourite and really got me depressed and felt like I had to prove a point,” he exclusively tells The Sun Online.

“But I was genuine. I don't think the public connected with me and thought I was fake and wanted Hughie for air time but they didn't know I was falling in love with him but felt embarrassed to say it on TV as I was scared of rejection!”

Four years on from the 2016 series, they are as happy as ever and are planning to start a family.

“I love that we proved everyone wrong,” he says.

“Hughie moved to the UK to live with me and since then our families have met and spent Christmas and New Years together and get on great.

"We are currently in the process of setting a business up together and looking into having children together and maybe getting married.”

But Ryan said that his dream of appearing in the iconic Big Brother fast turned into a nightmare as he clashed with Marco Pierre White Jr.

“The hardest thing about being in the house was how boring it is!” he said.

“Especially when you have to listen to the same bullsh*t from the same people every day.

"I was chain smoking 40 fags a day or something I felt like Dot Cotton!"

He added: “It was hard when you had people like Marco Pierre White Jr running around annoying you every minute of the day!

"What a vile scrounging p***k he was! He brushed his teeth once in ten days and said he didn't need to because he has veneers and had one shower!

"Vile human and he stank of stale p*** too!”

He revealed that even though he met boyfriend Hughie on the 2016 series, he plunged into a serious depression back in the real world.

“Life was hard for me,” he recalls.

“I became depressed and locked myself away in my sister’s room and didn't want to see or speak to anyone. I felt scared about normality and the idea of getting back to work.

He added: “Being locked up in the house messed with my head I felt like I could only speak to people that done the experience with me and didn't want to be around anyone else!”

However, when celeb work offers like appearances on Just Tattoo Of Us started drying up, the hardest part for Ryan was going back to a normal job.

“Having people think you've not made it was tough," he said.

"They presume everyone's gonna be famous and make something of themselves when in fact I never expected that and knew I would have to go back to work!

"People may laugh about me doing a normal job but I feel a winner having found my soul mate Hughie and that's priceless!"

Before he joined the cast of the 2016 series, the reality veteran, was already known for being rude to Simon Cowell and the judges on The X Factor and boasting about taking tanning tablets on This Morning.

However, landing a place on the legendary reality show had always been the dream.

“I applied for the show because I was genuinely a huge fan of it,” he said.

"I applied eight years in a row to get into the house and got told no every year."

To start with, Ryan couldn’t believe his luck that he had finally made it into the legendary telly house.

“I enjoyed the experience it didn't feel real because that was years of build up what I was waiting for and every day I couldn't believe where I was,” he recalls.

“I couldn't sleep the first night I just lay in the bed really drunk and couldn't shut off as I was so excited as to where I was!”
