Selling Sunset’s Mary Fitzgerald says she wants to freeze her eggs after marrying Romain as she puts baby plans on hold

SELLING Sunset's Mary Fitzgerald wants to freeze her eggs after marrying Romain Bonnet - as she says starting a family is not their top priority, the star tells The Sun exclusively.

The reality TV couple, who were seen tying the knot at the end of Season 2 of the hit show, were thankful they organized their big day before the COVID-19 outbreak.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, the newlyweds, who have brushed off criticism regarding their 13-year age gap, revealed they may have children together - "but not right now."

Realtor Mary, 39, said: "I'll never say never, just not right now. We are definitely looking forward to our next adventure in flipping homes, this is going to be fun to do together.

"I'm going to freeze my eggs just in case we want to start a family, but we are far too busy and focused on our careers to prioritize this at the moment.

"The market is still moving, we have new hurdles and mandates to follow, but I'm not slowing down in regards to interested buyers and selling my listings.

"It's more difficult for sure, but I've managed and am still optimistic of life getting back to normal very soon."

Mary's French beau Romain, 26, added: "We haven’t really talked so far about starting a family, as we are both really focused on our professional careers and push each other to be and do our best.

"We do plan on getting a house soon and start flipping. Between Mary as a realtor and me a project manager, we are the perfect team to make this happen."

Mary had her son Austin, who at 21 is just four years younger than her new husband, at the age of 16, and although he is rarely spoken about on the show, he did make an appearance to walk her down the aisle at the end of the last series.

While she prefers to keep her son out of the spotlight, Mary said of being a teen mom: "It absolutely shaped my life, I had to fight from a young age to survive and succeed. I think it taught me to be more compassionate to others for sure."

Despite being under immense pressure before her big day, Mary says she couldn't be happier with the way the ceremony turned out.

She said: "Family and our closest friends being there, and also very much involved in this meaningful day was our top priority.

"We did have multiple letdowns with venues, which was way more stressful than the show was thankfully able to even fully capture."

The couple booked their dream honeymoon to Bali, which has been pushed back for months, while the cast are also planning their own getaway.

"By the time we finished filming and were able to leave for our honeymoon, international travel was banned and we weren't allowed to go or board the plane at the last minute. It was heartbreaking!

"But in the meantime during LA's slow season, a few of us are planning to go to London and Mykonos together this summer for a fun relaxing getaway."

While in lockdown, the pair, who met through mutual friends in 2017, have been getting used to married life, but say they haven't been spending 24/7 focused on each other like most couples stuck at home.

Romain said: "We have been working so much, each of us are on different schedules unfortunately, so we don’t get much time together during the week. We are definitely looking forward to our honeymoon."

Mary admits Romain is "absolutely" the cook in the house, explaining: "I can do pasta and chili, and that's about it. I've learned to put my efforts where they are useful, which is selling homes and not in the kitchen!"

Like most couples, they insist their relationship isn't perfect, with Romain admitting they both have their "little bad habits."

He said: "I am a bit OCD, and Mary not so much, so we get in to small arguments sometimes, but we both make efforts and learn how to make it work."

In the last series, Mary sparred with colleague Christine Quinn, who kept her in the dark over her secret engagement to 41-year-old tech millionaire, Christian Richard, and has since spoken of her desire to join the cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Season 3 has already been filmed, and there's much more drama in store, including Christine's wedding and the breakdown of co-star Chrishell Stause's marriage to .

Although Mary is keeping mum on the details, she said: "Chrishell is doing much better now and is in good spirits whenever I speak to her.

"She is a very strong woman and has handled this tough year better than I ever could think!

"I haven't talked to Christine, so don't know anything personally about her wanting to leave Selling Sunset for RHOBH, but I think Christine should do whatever makes her happy."

The pair do patch things up enough during the new season for Mary to be invited to her big day.

"I did attend her wedding, it was beautiful, white, and over-the-top," she said. "Her reception was very dark and gothic with skulls, and blood oozing out of the wedding cake. I obviously didn't eat any cake!"

Christine recently claimed Mary showing her meeting Christian as a client, but says she actually met him through a girlfriend months prior.

Mary said: "I honestly don't know how quickly they actually got together and engaged, because from what most of us were told it seemed she just started dating him when they got engaged.

"She has since said they had been dating for months and didn't tell us. I don't know what the truth is, I just wish her happiness in her new marriage."

Meanwhile, Romain says he did not sort out his differences with Mary's colleague Davina in the new season - after he banned her from their wedding due to her initial disapproval of their romance.

Romain said: "For me it's really simple, nothing will make me change how I feel about her or what she did.

"I'm done with her forever. Period!"

Season 3 of Selling Sunset airs on Netflix on August 7.
