Power Book III’s London Brown admits he dreamed of being in original show despite never watching an episode

POWER Book III’s London Brown has revealed he always admired the original series, despite not watching the show himself.
The former Ballers star is set to feature in one of the several upcoming spin-off series from Starz crime drama Power, which came to an end in February.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun Online, London, 39, who starred in HBO series Ballers, was always a fan of the the New-York based drama and its concept.
He explained: “I’ve never watched Power, reason being was that while I was in the middle of filming Ballers, I was looking at Power from afar and thought ‘man that would be a cool show to be a part of.’”
He believes that contributed to why he didn’t tune in, adding: “Even though I was working on a super dope show [Ballers] and I was working with the biggest star in the world in Dwayne Johnson, there was part of me that wished I could be a part of Power.”
The American was grateful for the opportunity to be able to continue the legacy of Power, which saw James ‘Ghost’ St. Patrick’ (Omari Hardwick) shot and killed by his son Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr) in the finale.
“I’m just really thankful and grateful to be able to go from one big TV series to another”, London said, especially after the shock of finding out on Instagram that Ballers was not going to be returning.
Despite the disappointing end to his time on the American comedy-drama, Brown describes Ballers as a life-changing experience and described Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson as very humble guy.
"The actors were really dope, people were really cool and Dwayne is a really chill, humble guy, and very nice."
He added: "With his temperament and his approach to working with us, it created an atmosphere where everybody was cool, no egos, none of that stuff."
Power Book III: Raising Kanan is one of the first to begin production and the prequel follows the early years of Kanan Stark (50 Cent), which saw him become a huge drug dealer in New York City.
However, the cast for the new series has been announced and it includes Disney star Mekai Curtis from Milo Murphy's Law, who will play the ruthless Kanan when he was a teenager.
Snowfall's Malcolm M Mays and Hunger Games star Patina Miller will also feature as Lou-Lou and Raquel Thomas, respectively.
They will be accompanied by Love and Basketball star Omar Epps, 46 and 21-year-old Hailey Kilgore in the spin-off, as well as Ade Chike Torbert, who appeared in HULU series East Los High.
