Netflix’s White Lines’ Angela Griffin reveals cast are desperately ‘sat waiting for the call’ to make series 2

WHITE Lines' Angela Griffin has revealed the cast are desperately 'sat waiting for the call' to make series two of the Netflix show.
The first series was a huge success on the streaming service earlier this year, hitting the top 10 lists around Europe.

The drama centered around the mysterious disappearance of DJ Axel Collins in Ibiza and his sister Zoe arriving on the island 20 years later to try and get to the bottom of what happened.
Angela, 43, played Axel's friend Anna, and during an appearance on today's Good Morning Britain, she said she would love to make a second series.
Speaking about the show's success, she said: "I mean, I really, really want there to be another one. It's such an amazing show to be part of.
"And it’s done so well! We were top 10, I think, up until the day before yesterday, in the UK. We made it number one all over the world.
"The Netherlands, Germany, I think at one point we were number one in 41 countries."
Angela thinks part of the reason for its success is the fact people have been locked down at home and unable to travel, so have lived vicariously through the drama.
She explained: "It’s what everyone needed right now, to escape to Ibiza and have all those incredible vistas. An escapist show."
Angela starred in the show alongside Daniel Mays, Laura Haddock and Nuno Lopes and added: "I really want there to be another series. We’re kind of all sat waiting now, waiting for the call."

White Lines was written by Money Heist's Alex Pina, and actor Tom Rhys Harries - who plays Axel - recently teased that Alex is working on the next series.
Speaking to LADBible, he said: "I know that there are recces happening for season two; they’re location scouting, if and when that goes ahead – or that was happening prior to the global pandemic.
"But I think everybody would be really keen to go back and visit Alex [Pina]’s world again, because it’s just so out there and colourful and sort of bonkers."
White Lines is available to watch on Netflix now.
