Amy Childs warns Kylie Jenner to cut back on lip fillers as she opens up about her previous addiction to pout-plumping procedures
Former Towie star urges girls to think twice about plumping their pouts after she underwent painful corrective surgery
AMY Childs has warned Kylie Jenner to cut back on lip fillers as she opened up about her own struggles with surgery.
The former Towie star reveals she became "addicted" to cosmetic procedures and started to look like pop veteran Pete Burns after undergoing too many lip treatments.
Amy had to undergo "painful" reconstructive surgery to get her pout back to normal.
The trained beauty therapist, who runs her own clinic in Essex, admits she went "overboard" three years ago, when her surgery habit spiralled out of control.
Amy fears US reality star Kylie is encouraging more girls than ever before to plump up their pouts, and she has urged them to be careful.
Speaking at the relaunch of the Amy Childs Clinic in Brentwood yesterday, she told The Sun Online: "I heard the other day that you can go in [to some clinics] and have your lips done after 10 minutes on your lunch break.
My lips were like Pete Burns they was horrific
Amy Childs,
"I just think it's absolutely mental now. I think Kylie jenner is a big part of this [lip filler fad]...
"I think now she's gone really overboard. She was 17 having lip fillers I don't think I agree with that. I agree with girls [with] thin lips having a little bit of cosmetic surgery, I think that's ok. I don't think people should go overboard."
Amy went on to open up about her own troubles, revealing her appearance totally changed when she let her love for lip fillers take over.
The red-haired beauty then underwent a painful reconstruction to fix her smile.
She added: "I can honestly say I went overboard three years ago I got absolutely addicted to surgery.
"My lips were like Pete Burns they was horrific [sic]. However, I took 'em all out, I then had to have like a recorrective [sic] treatment on my lips...
"The reconstruction was so painful. It was basically like [the filler] being squeezed out, it was really painful but it was more fool me..."
Amy revealed she talks candidly to young girls who are thinking of undergoing the procedure, and warned Kylie to give it a rest.
She said: "So me talking to young girls I say to them they should really think about having lip fillers because... it's a massive thing, it really is."
Amy added: "I love Kylie Jenner, I think she's really beautiful. I think now she's going a bit overboard... I think last year she had a little bit in and
she looked lovely. However, I think she needs to stop now..."
The beautician-turned-reality star relaunched her Brentwood salon by throwing a glitzy party yesterday.
She invited famous friends including Towie's Mike Hassini, Pascal Craymer, Billie Faiers, Frankie Essex, Miss Great Britain Zara Holland, Amy's cousin Harry Derbridge and model Sam Reece to launch the newly-renamed Amy Childs Clinic.
Amy is introducing new treatments including a fat-blasting liposuction procedure, permanent hair removal and SEMILAC gel nails.
